Dance Break with Hilary Campbell
Let's SWEAT! Let's MOVE! Let's DANCE! In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month cartoonist, comedian, and burlesque peformer Hilary Campbell is hosting a one year anniversary dance party of her "3 PM Dance Break"... but at 7 PM!
Do I have to be a good dancer?
Hell to the NO! We are all here to throw our bodies across the dance floor in whatever way feels good to you! All dancers are welcome!
Is it at 3 PM or 7 PM?
While for the past year Hilary has been dancing online at 3 PM, this IRL event is at 7 PM!
What should I wear?
Short answer is whatever you feel comfortable in! If that means sweats, great, if that means a hot pink go-go suit, incredible, if that means a robe, please, please do it. Just be ready to move!
What's the plan?
The evening will consist of a warm up, some light (optional) choreography, some free for all dance sections and a cool down. It's not strict! Do what you feel! Take a break when you need! Tip your bartender!
I don't know what the 3 PM Dance Break is... can you explain?
In May of 2023 in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Hilary started to share something she's been doing for years. Dancing alone in her office at 3 PM. These videos have become very popular, inspiring freelancers, artists, nurses alike, to take a dance break at 3 PM. You can find the videos on Instagram and TikTok!
I can't make this event, will there be future Dance Breaks?
Hilary is hoping this becomes a recurring event, but right now there are no future dates.
